Study: Identification of microRNAs in ichthyosporean species
show Abstracthide Abstract
Using Next Generation Sequencing to identify novel microRNA genes in various species of the unicellular eukaryote group of Ichthyosporea.
Sample: Sar degradome

Construction protocol: mRNA was selected using oligo (dt) primers. Then, uncapped (i.e. cleaved or degraded) mRNAs were selected for by ligating a sequencing adapter on the 5' end of mRNAs with a 5'-monophosphate. These ligated mRNAs were then converted to cDNA using random primers and prepared into 50 bp single-end sequencing libraries. The libraries were sequenced on the Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform.
